Mark Berry Guitars - Pricing
Classical: The
base price for a classical guitar is $3,600. This includes an Engleman spruce or
western red cedar soundboard, East Indian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany or
Spanish cedar neck, an ebony fingerboard, and Sloane or comparably priced
classical tuners.
Flamenco: The
base price for a flamenco guitar is $3,200. This includes an Engleman spruce
soundboard, East Indian rosewood or Spanish or Monterey cypress back and sides, a
Spanish cedar neck, an ebony or rosewood fingerboard, Schaller classical tuners
or Pegheds planetary gear tuners.
Pre-Tablao: I also build a 7/8 sized guitar with a 630mm scale, modeled after a smaller Spanish flamenco I examined from a private collection. These guitars were played in small intimate gatherings of flamenco aficianados, and had a marvelous clear light tone with little loss of volume. People with a smaller build find these guitars very satisfying to play. The base price on the pre-tablao is $2800. Included are an Engleman spruce soundboard, Monterey cypress back and sides, a Spanish cedar neck, a rosewood fingerboard and Schaller classical tuners or Pegheds planetary gear tuners.
All guitars come with a high quality hardshell case.
Substitutions and upgrades: Substitutions of comparably priced woods or tuners are, of course, not a problem. The same is true of upgrades to more expensive materials. The additional cost of upgrades will be calculated based on the material cost at the time of an order. A traditional French polish is available at an additional charge. My goal is to make an instrument with which you are completely satisfied, and I make every effort to that end.
Guitar sizing: Scale length, string spacing, neck profile and action are all tailored to meet the needs of each client.
